band bios
Guitar
1986 – 87: I fronted a local blues band
“Alley Kats”
1987 – 90: I joined the “Mick
Massof band” which performed original R&B music. After Mick joined
the Hoopsnakes, the band continued to play as the “Luke Kramer band”.
Highlights include:
Playing with blues legends such as Luther Allison, Clarence
“Gatemouth” Brown, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, Buddy Guy and Lonnie Mack.
1990 – 94:
I joined songwriter Reynold Philipseck in his band, “Reynold’s
Remarkable Rhythm Cattle”. (No, I did not make up the name, so
don’t ask!). We recorded three albums together:
Uptown & Country
(1990); What's Inside (1991); and Memory Lane (1992).
After RRC
disbanded, I continued to record with Reynold on his solo ventures.
They included:
Global Home Movie
(1994); House of Curiosities (1995); and The 1st 100 Years
Are The Roughest (1996).
1993:
During the time I was with Reynold Philipseck, I also played in
“Passion Fish,” an original rock band.
1994:
I joined gb Leighton.
Additional information:
I
have also performed on the following albums:
Percy Strothers
(1992); The Vernells (1996);
El Camino’s Dead Art (1998); and Lee Rude’s Here It Comes
(2000).
As a member of gb Leighton, Luke is endorsed with Fender Musical
Instruments and J. D’Addario and Company, Inc.
