We are THRILLED to let you know that Brian is cancer free! He had his last check up yesterday and they told him it is completely gone.
Brian wants all of you to know how much your positive energy, your healing energy, and your prayers mean to him. The support of his family, friends, and fabulous fans made this process endurable. Physically he is still regaining his strength and is getting stronger every day. Thank you and we will celebrate at the shows!

Hey everyone,
Brian is so thankful for everyone's support and healing energy. He had his last chemo last week and he will get the final report as to how effective it was in October. We all know the insane schedule he kept while undergoing this intense time. It has taken it's toll and really exhausted him. He is continuing to gig while building his red cells, iron level, etc., and energy back up.
Thanks for your continued understanding and support.

To all of Brian’s fans, friends, and extended family,
Brian has cancelled a couple shows prior to the 13th of August due to the chemo. We are confident he will be back full tilt when he is through with what is hopefully his last week of chemo.

Thursday, June 23, 2011:
Unfortunately, Brian’s cancer has come back. He has a 95% chance of beating this and your positive thoughts and prayers will help.
He went in today to get a port put in for the chemo he will needing. Of course they put it on the right side so it won’t interfere with the guitar strap.
He will be going in weekly most of the summer and we are confident that he will handle the chemo well, it will do its job, and this will be behind him.

Hello everybody!
I'm feeling really good and I am so happy that I took this step in my life. It was way over due. They keep me very busy here at Hazelden with counseling and classes. It is very productive for my life.
My passions and emotions are all coming back to me and I'm excited to see you all again. Thanks for all the warm wishes and lovely thoughts. Miss you all and see you real soon!

Hey, all,
It’s been a while since I’ve written down and shared what’s going on with gb leighton. I’m here to tell ya: It’s all good – I’ve been cancer free for a year now and feeling great! Thanks to all of you who have supported me throughout this ordeal. I can’t say enough about the love I’ve felt!
gbl has been moving forward constantly: Writing new songs, recording, etc. We are working on a new album, and possibly a children’s album as well. We’ll keep you posted.
Recently, we moved away from our management company, MTM, and our booking agent, Paradigm. In other words… we’ve kind of brought it all home.
We have a new booking agent whose company is called Hello! Booking and we are looking forward to all the connections they will bring us in the Midwest. We want to grow throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota and try to build in those states what we have here. It’s always positive for us when we see MN faces on the road so please think about a road trip with gb sometime.
We also have planned another Mexico trip, this time to Puerto Vallarta. We’ve never been there as a band, so this would be a great trip for all of us to get to know another city in Mexico.
Anyway enough rambling, I’ll try and keep this new website up to date with my thoughts and feelings and always look forward to your feedback.
