Press Kit - Band - Smokey D.
Bass Guitar

Born the son of a son of a son of a logger, Smokey moved away from that line of business.  He became a professional badmitton player in the early 80’s until moving on to be the Head Chef at the White Castle on Central Avenue.

After four long years of flipping burgers, Smokey decided to become an ice fisherman in Atlanta, Georgia.  He struggled for years and finally moved back to Minnesota to become the bass player in the Tony Sims band. Smokey played a lot of shows with Tony at the Minnesota Music Café, and I guess many other places you wouldn’t know about.

He sold his soul to become a part of gb leighton and I am very excited over this new money deal with Satan.  His hobbies are showering – no, just kidding.  Really, his hobbies are drinking beer and many, many other things.

Smokey’s a native Minnesotan, a logger by heart, a great bass player and friend; I should know, he told me all of this.
